What is a digital holographic card?
It is a card design with an interactive simulation of reflected light. Move across the preview and the card tilts while the shine shifts. Flip it to see the custom back. The card remains a two-sided digital object; this tool does not turn a person or creature into a 3D model.
Choose the look and the way you view it
Card layout and viewing mode are separate. Classic places the artwork in a frame with clearly readable stats. Full art lets the illustration fill the card. Either layout can be viewed flat in 2D or tilted in 3D.
| Finish | How it looks | A good starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Matte | Clear artwork without rainbow foil | Drawings and easy-to-read printed cards |
| Holo | Soft rainbow light that follows the pointer | Photo keepsakes and classic collector cards |
| Cosmic | Star details with a broader iridescent sheen | Space creatures and imaginative full-art cards |
Try it in the studio
- Pick a companion or add a photo.
- Select Holo or Cosmic under “Add a little magic.”
- Choose 3D above the preview. Move across the card, or touch it to explore the light.
- Use Flip to see the reverse. Keyboard users can focus the preview, press arrow keys to tilt, and press F to flip.
Want to send the shimmer? Choose “Download interactive card.” You get a self-contained HTML file with the artwork and viewer included. Download PNG creates a still picture and cannot retain movement.
What can I download?
The PNG contains your edited front at 945 × 1,320 pixels, including the printed-style finish. The interactive HTML includes the front, a matching back, mouse and touch interaction, keyboard controls, and a flat-view option. You can open it offline in a modern browser.
Some messaging apps block HTML attachments or display them as plain files. The recipient may need to save the file and open it in a browser. A PNG is easier to share as an ordinary picture.
Does it print as a real foil card?
No. Screen reflections are not physical foil. A home printer puts a static image on paper; it cannot reproduce angle-dependent rainbow light on ordinary stock. Use our print layout for paper cards and keep the interactive file for the digital effect.
Comfortable on smaller screens
The 2D button removes tilt whenever you prefer a steady view. The studio respects your system’s reduced-motion preference and avoids automatic spinning. All finishes remain freely selectable.
